New project: The Giant of Mogadishu

We are pleased to share the news that The Giant of Mogadishu has been selected for Studio Heuvelland, the new collaboration scheme between the Netherlands Film Fund and the Limburg region. Under this scheme, promising filmmakers are given the opportunity to develop and realize new, distinctive film productions with strong roots in the province.

The Giant of Mogadishu is a gripping thriller about prejudice in a small community and the search for the truth, in which suspense alternates with sharp humor and unexpected lightness. It is precisely this combination that gives the story its own distinctive tone.

We look forward to realizing this special project over the coming year. In addition to the directors, our core team consists of executive producer Roos Aerts and junior producer Nasrin Reshadi.
